re: Laptop power

That would depend on your laptop. Most laptops nowadays have dual power which auto switches from 110 to 220 power depending on which you plug it into. The only issue you may have would be the plug itself which is usually a 3 prong. Most power outlets in the philippines have only 2 prongs so if you were to purchase an adapter, please get one that you can use to plug into a 2 prong outlet. FYI. a lot of residences and establishments do have 110 power but rumor has it that Meralco (local power company) is planning to stop providing this service.

In the event that your laptop can only use 110 v, then you would have to buy a transformer that will convert the outlet from 220 to 110. Plug in the transformer into the outlet, then plug your laptop into the transformer. If I were you, I'd play it safe and get further info from the hotel or residence where you will be staying during your visit.

Hope this helps. Good Luck.
