Hiring Appointment Setter For SEO Client Acquisition

You will be required to cold call service-based local business owners across the U.S.

The whole point of this cold call is to get them to say yes to a screencast video. Once that happens, they are far more likely to watch it and care about what we're pitching than if I sent it cold. You will also need to set the expectation at the end of the call that we will be following up with them.

When the prospect answers, you will say: "Hi, could I speak to the owner or a manager please?" If I got the info from salesgenie or Google I'll just ask for the owner by name.

I usually get asked what it is in reference to and I just say: "please tell them that ______ is calling about your website" That usually does the trick to get past the gatekeeper.

If they persist and want more details about what I'm calling for I'll say "I help small businesses by teaching them how to improve their web presence. I give business owners a bunch of information on how to improve where you show up on google so that more prospective customers see you when they are searching for (service) in (city) online."

If they hand me over to the owner or office manager, I'll get into my pitch.

I try to call them by name at least a couple times during the call if I know their name. People like to hear their own name and it creates rapport. Also, I never start a conversation with "how are you doing today?". That tips off the prospect that you are a salesman and you want their money.

I start with "Hi I help businesses get exposure online and grow their business. Would you be open to having me send you a quick video showing you where your business is when it comes to exposure to customers online? I'll show you where you are showing up when people are searching, and take a look at how many customers are finding you online vs your competitors. I'll also show you a few things you can do on your own to improve those stats."

At this point, if I've gotten through that without getting shut down, they say "sure". Then I'll ask them for their email address and their name if I don't have their name yet. I try to get their name naturally earlier in the call though.

Then I'll end with:
"Great, I'll have that video over to you in the next 24 hours and I'll follow up to see if you have any questions.

>>>> This is when you will pass the lead off to me and I will make the screencast video <<<<

I always make sure to end the screencast with my offer for professional web design and SEO services and I describe that offer with:

"I've given you a few things that can help you get more exposure online, but many of my clients have found that they are busy running their businesses and want me to get them ranked and have more customers finding them as fast as possible."

Then I get into my services and offer.

That is my script for prospecting for SEO clients.

This job is specifically for helping with setting appointments for sales presentations and screencast videos.

If you think you're capable of doing the job, reply to this post.

Thanks,

Joe
